The 35th Annual Continuing Education & Business Conference
was held August 31 - September 4, 2009 at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel
in Baltimore, MD
Continuing Education Credits:
The AAPA is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS PACETM Program. To be eligible to receive continuing education credit, you must have passed the ASCP BOR certification exam prior to this conference AND you must have your name badge scanned upon entering EACH lecture/workshop. You must be scanned within the first 10 minutes of the start of the lecture to receive credit.
The maximum number of CME credits available at our 2009 conference was 35. There were two safety lectures (a minimum of one credit is needed in safety every three years to comply with the ASCP BOR recertification requirements). Baltimore safety lectures included the second lecture on Tuesday, "MRSA: Trends, Encounters, and How to Prepare for it in the Grossing Room" and the second lecture on Friday, "Understanding and Preventing Repetitive Stress Injuries".
